1. Overview

      High-voltage wall-through casing (hereinafter referred to as casing) is suitable for power distribution devices of three-phase AC system power stations and substations with a rated voltage (10-35)kV and frequency (15-60) Hz. It allows conductive parts to pass through partitions, walls or other grounding objects, and provide insulating support for fixed connection between external conductors (bus).

Environmental conditions for use
(1) The ambient temperature of the indoor casing
    shall not be higher than +40℃,
    and the altitude shall not exceed 1000m,
   and the monthly average value of relative humidity shall not exceed 90%.
   The surrounding air shall not be subject to corrosive or obvious filthy gases, water vapor, etc.,
   and no frequent and violent vibration.

(2) The ambient temperature of the outdoor sleeve
   shall not be higher than +40℃, not lower than -40℃; the altitude shall not exceed    1000m
   ;    the air pollution degree of the product's use environment shall be divided into 4 levels I, II, III, IV according to GB/T5582;    there shall be no frequent violent vibrations

  The sleeve consists of porcelain parts, metal accessories, mounting flanges and conductive rows (rods).


III. Use and classification

  The wall-through porcelain casing is used in power stations and substation distribution devices and high-voltage electrical appliances. It allows the wire to pass through the ground partition, wall or electrical equipment shell, and supports the conductive part to insulate it to the ground or shell. The
  wall-through porcelain casing can be divided into indoor and outdoor wall-through porcelain casing according to its use environment. According to the different conductors passing through the center, it can be divided into busbar wall-through porcelain casing, copper conductor wall-through porcelain casing and aluminum conductor wall-through porcelain casing.
  When the copper conductor is directly connected to the busbar, electrochemical corrosion is easily generated, and the temperature rise of the contact surface is too high, causing the joint to burn out, affecting the equipment life. Therefore, copper-aluminum transition joints should be used, but they also cause trouble to on-site construction. The use of aluminum conductor porcelain sleeves can solve the above problems.
  Indoor and outdoor wall-through porcelain sleeves are assembled from porcelain parts, conductive poles, metal accessories at both ends and installation flanges. Busbar wall-through porcelain sleeves are assembled from porcelain parts, metal accessories at both ends, busbar plywood and installation flanges (busbar plywood is usually matched by users according to the busbar size).
  The performance of wall-through porcelain sleeves complies with the provisions of GB12944.1 "Technical Conditions for High-pressure Wall-through Porcelain Casing".

5. Installation and use instructions

  1. The wall-through porcelain casing is suitable for power stations and substation distribution devices with a power frequency AC rated power below 40.5kv, ambient temperature around the installation site is -40℃~+40℃, and an altitude of no more than 1,000m.
  2. The indoor wall-through casing is not suitable for places that have a destructive effect on the enamel, metal accessories and cement adhesive of the sleeve or is sufficient to reduce the electrical performance of the sleeve.
  3. If a local discharge occurs during operation of the wall-through porcelain casing, it should be checked for local falloff of the aluminum-sprayed layer in the flange or cavity of the porcelain casing. If there is any temporary pressure equalization measures should be taken in time.
  4. The wall holes of the installation busbar wall-through porcelain casing should be opened according to the maximum size of the flange reinforcement.
