Technical requirements for box of high-voltage cable branch box

| April 14, 2025 | Views: 23
The docking sleeve in the high-voltage cable branch box is extremely important for the cable branch box installed at a designated location. The technical elements of the box of many cable branch boxes in the same project may be the same, but most of their internal electrical wiring is different, and electrical wiring is the most important technical content of the cable branch box. For ordinary tap box, the number of incoming wires and outgoing wires should be considered, and whether there are lightning arresters and other elements; while in high-end branch boxes, some contain several load switches, some contain combinations of several load switches and several negative-melt electrical appliances (such as ring network units), and some contain opening and closing wiring (even segmented main wiring with busbar switches), etc. The number of incoming wires and outgoing wires is different, and the number of lightning arresters and monitoring devices on both sides is also different;

technical requirements for the box of the cable branch box:

In terms of the box of the high-voltage cable branch box, there are mainly the following technical elements:
1. Voltage level. The medium voltage system network cable has three voltage levels: 10kV, 20kV and 35kV.
2. Installation location. It is divided into three types: outdoor, indoor and buried. The installation site shows the working environment of the equipment.
3. Plug-in device type. It includes two types: shielded and non-shielded. The outer surface of the shielded plug-in device is allowed to touch by hand when it is live, and the outer surface of the non-shielded plug-in device is not allowed to touch when it is live.
4. Incoming current level. It refers to the current in a larger circuit, currently there are two levels: 630A and 200A.
5. Appearance and shape of the box. For ordinary branch boxes, there are three types: single-cover (parallel), double-cover (butt type) and boxless shell type; for advanced branch boxes, all of them are door box type.
